Law PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (AP) -- Richard Hatch has been sent to a federal prison in Oklahoma as he serves a 51-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on the $1 million he won on the debut season of "Survivor."

Law HOUSTON, Texas (AP) -- Andrea Yates drowned her five children in the bathtub one by one -- concealing her deed from the other children so they wouldn't try to run away or call for help,a prosecutor said during closing arguments Monday at her second murder trial.

   Nebraska gay marriage ban reinstated

Law LINCOLN, Nebraska (AP) -- Supporters of banning gay marriage won two major court rulings Friday, with a federal appeals court reinstating Nebraska's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage and the Tennessee Supreme Court ruling that voters should have a say on the issue.
